Archives of the Congrès International des Sciences géographiques, cosmographiques et commerciales, Antwerp, 1871
The archives of the very first international conference on geography are part of the collection of the Antwerp City Archives. They found their way to the City Archives through Pieter Génard, who was city archivist and secretary of the organising committee of the conference. The documents give a very good insight into the realization of the conference. And into the scientific world at the end of the 19th century.
